Stat of the Day

The amount spent on Father’s Day in 2023 - that’s a lot of socks. Mother’s Day was $35B - which seems right. Us dads are great, but moms really rock and deserve more than us. (source)

Thrive25 Father’s Day Guide

Dads. We don’t need a new knife or razor. We’re not looking for another sleeve of golf balls. Honestly, we don’t really need gifts at all - maybe just a few hours to ourselves followed by a quiet, fun hike and picnic where everyone gets along.

But we know that gifts are part of the tradition. So skip all the other online lists - this is the Ultimate Gift Guide for Dads!

Consider this your cheat sheet to transforming Dad from "weekend warrior" to "wellness champion." We've got all the gadgets, gear, and self-care essentials to feel like a million bucks (without the million-dollar price tag). Ditch the drugstore aisle and browse our gift guide - because a healthy dad is a happy dad (and trust us, a happy dad is a way better cook on the grill).

Sit and stand with ease

Got a home office? Stop sitting 8+ hours a day and setting yourself up with chronic back pain. Upgrade Dad’s workday with a Fully standing desk. This ergonomic wonder has been a game-changer for me - push of a button to change between sitting and standing. I’ll take at least one (30 min) call standing and try to stand about 10 min every hour.

BONUS: Each tabletop is sustainably sourced and all products come in eco-friendly packaging. #CaptainPlanet

Look forward to yoga

Dads deserve zen too! This extra-thick, extra-long cork yoga mat by Man Flow Yoga is a game-changer. First it’s a little bigger to fit us guys. But it’s also soft and has crazy grip, so you’re not slipping when the sweat starts dripping like a faucet.

BONUS: the mat's naturally antimicrobial properties help keep things fresh. Namaste!

Because cooking should be functional and look good

🔥 Skip the mismatched pots and pans! Caraway's (affiliate) cookware sets are designed to elevate your kitchen with sleek aesthetics and thoughtful functionality. Made with safe, non-toxic materials, they're perfect for everyday cooking, baking, and storing. Max loves his Caraway set so much, he actually looks forward to cooking now! Plus, they're having sales all month!

Leaving the world a better place

I’m the garbage owner in the house - so much that my 3-yr old got me a trash bin for my birthday because he thinks I love garbage. How about instead we ditch the worst of the cleanup - leftover food! Lomi is the high-tech countertop appliance that transforms food scraps into nutrient-rich fertilizer – fast, odorless, and mess-free. Just like a dishwasher, it works its magic overnight, leaving Dad with fresh-smelling bins and a guilt-free way to shrink his kitchen footprint. Plus there’s enhanced odor control, a dishwasher-safe bucket for easy cleaning, and a handy waste tracking device.

Recover faster

Just as important to working out is making sure you’re taking care of your body after pushing it to the limit. I take my Hypervolt Go2 with me wherever I go. It’s a portable muscle soother that blasts away aches and pains. I definitely notice a difference - especially after a tough day of squats and deadlifts.

Brain Games

Kyudoku

We’re going back-to-back with Kyudoku. It’s a 6x6 grid where you need to use logic to find nine unique numbers (1 to 9) so that each row and column has a sum of 9 or less. It’s kinda like sudoku, but with more distractions. The 3 highlighted in yellow is given.

Here’s a little help to get started. Because we know 3 is given, we can’t use 3 again (gray boxes) and we can also eliminate any numbers that would make the sum of the row or column with the given 3 more than 9 (blue boxes). Have fun and use that brain!

** Brain Games Answer **

Here’s the answer. In this grid, find 4 (there’s only one) and then eliminate several values in the columns with remaining 7s and 8s and you’re in good shape to figure out the rest. How did you solve it?
